Monitors – Timing, Grayscale Resolution, OLEDs, Specific devices. However, I did a fair bit of research last night and found a few oscilloscopes that might be okay replacements for Psyscope but I think I'm just going to settle for Psyscope as it's cheap and has the functionality that I want. I also realize that I could just throw an oscilloscope on a track bus or track group to see the summation but this seems counterproductive when comparing to the ease of Psyscope's summation features. The most appealing thing for me in terms of Psyscope is the ability to only have to look at one instance of the plugin (even if there's multiple instances on multiple tracks). I use the clip-to-zero method to achieve maximum loudness in the mix instead of the master. I'm a pretty big visual learner and I mostly just want to view the summation of multiple channel waveforms for clipping purposes as I don't mix with the traditional method of leaving -6db headroom.
